The exact course and depth of wrinkles depend heavily on personal factors such as genetic predisposition, skin texture, and facial expressions.
Forehead wrinkles often arise from the interaction of decreasing skin elasticity and active facial muscles. If the forehead is moved frequently in everyday life, such as when raising the eyebrows or frowning, wrinkles become permanent over time. How does forehead wrinkle removal work?
Preparation

In some cases, it may be advisable to schedule several sessions at different times. This allows for a particularly harmonious and long-lasting result, even with deeper wrinkles .
The treatment
The skin in the forehead area is first thoroughly disinfected. Dr. Graß then uses a fine cannula to precisely inject the selected active ingredient into the skin or muscle—depending on the type of wrinkle being treated.
Botox acts directly on the facial muscles, targeting areas where excessive muscle activity leads to wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid, on the other hand, is injected under the skin to plump up sunken areas. Both procedures can also be combined if the diagnosis warrants.
After the injection, the treated area is gently cooled to minimize any irritation or swelling. The effects of hyaluronic acid are immediate, while Botox takes about three to five days to develop its full effect.
Aftercare
After treatment, you can usually return to your daily routine immediately. However, we recommend avoiding exercise, saunas, tanning beds, and intense sun exposure for the first few days. You should also avoid massaging or rubbing the treated forehead area.
Minor swelling or bruising is rare but possible. These usually subside quickly and can be covered cosmetically if necessary. Cooling can also help any irritation subside more quickly.
Are there any risks or side effects?
When performed professionally by an experienced physician, treatment with hyaluronic acid or botulinum toxin is very safe.
