Preparation
Before every wrinkle treatment, Dr. Christian Graß takes ample time for a personal consultation. This will determine whether nasolabial fold injections are suitable for you and what results you can realistically expect. No special preparation on your part is required.
The treatment
After disinfecting the skin and optionally applying a topical anesthetic, Dr. Graß gently injects the hyaluronic acid into the skin using a fine needle or blunt cannula. This specifically lines and smooths the wrinkle.
Depending on the initial findings, one or more sessions may be necessary. The effect is visible immediately after treatment – the skin appears smoother, plumper, and fresher. Minor swelling usually subsides within a few days.
Aftercare
After injections, you should carefully cool the treated areas and avoid physical exertion, saunas, and direct sunlight for a few days. Avoid massaging or pressing the facial area to allow the fillers to integrate evenly into the tissue.
If follow-up treatment is planned, this usually takes place after about four weeks.
Risks of injecting the nasolabial fold
